Outwardly, the new subcompact N-Box with a five-door design reminds its predecessor with a square form, door opening scheme etc. However, this is a completely new light and strong body. In addition, the novelty has the same dimensions: 3395 mm long and 1475 wide with a 2520 mm wheelbase. The height has grown by 20 mm to 1790 mm.

Especially for the kei-car, the specialists developed a new platform and power unit. According to the general scheme, the car repeats the old one: a 660cc three-cylinder gasoline atmospheric and supercharged engine, variator, front or four-wheel drive to choose from. However, all nodes are reworked. In the supercharged engine, there was added an innovative electric turbine control valve. The improvements allowed reaching 3.7-liter fuel consumption per 100 km for an atmospheric front-drive version and 3.9 l for a model with turbo engine.
